01 Chargers begin second scoring drive of second half at their 23 yard line.

02 Pre snap, DB Orlando Scandrick 22 moves downfield. DB Charvarius Ward 35 moves upfield

03-07 Post snap, 2 receivers, one right and one left, head straight downfield. DB Kendall Fuller 23 bumps and follows the left receiver. Scandrick picks up the other beyond the down marker.

06-11 WR Tyrell Williams 16 crosses left to right, then turns downfield, followed by Ward and LB Anthony Hitchens 53.

06-11 TE Virgil Green 88 and RB Detrez Newsome 38 leak though the line and split out to left and right along line of scrimmage.

11-13 As Phillip Rivers 17 throws toward Newsome, Reggie Ragland 59 gets an early break toward the ball carrier's route. Hitchens 53 reverses his direction to head up field toward the ball carrier.

12 As Newsome catches the ball on the line of scrimmage, Ragland and Hitchens are already headed his way. No defender is within 10 yards of the ball.

14-16 When Newsome ( 5-10, 210) is still 8 yards from the first down marker, Hitchens (6-0, 235) slows to stop at the first down marker and wait for the runner. Ron Parker 38 (6-0, 206) comes up and also stops on the first down marker. Ragland (6-2, 252) slows down.

16-21 RB Newsome, slows, jukes, then reaccelerates straight downfield into the waiting defenders, gaining a first down and getting out of bounds to stop the clock FONT face=Arial size=2>            Copyright 2018
